David Gerard Geraghty is an Irish composer, sound artist, and music educator with over 30 years of experience shaping evocative music for film, visual media, and live performance. With a deep passion for storytelling through sound, his compositions weave together orchestral grandeur, electronic innovation, and experimental textures to create immersive and emotionally compelling sonic landscapes.

Holding an MA in Scoring for Film and Visual Media, David studied orchestration under the legendary Hollywood orchestrator Conrad Pope and further refined his craft through workshops with Jeff Atmajian. He has collaborated with world-class ensembles, including the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, as well as workshopping compositions with the renowned Fidelio Trio. His ability to seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary musical elements has solidified his reputation as a versatile and innovative composer.

Inspired by the raw beauty of West Cork’s rugged coastline, David infuses his music with a profound sense of atmosphere and depth. His compositions are not just heard—they are felt, transporting listeners to worlds of rich emotion and cinematic grandeur. As a dedicated educator, he shares his expertise with the next generation of musicians, fostering creativity and technical mastery in his students.
